WordArt 1, James Joyce 0

Would you like to buy the ugliest editions available of some of the great classics? Let me introduce you to the output of eMagination Classics. Unlike Tutis or Emereo, someone here has theoretically read these books, or at least their blurbs on Amazon, since most of the covers actually relate to their contents. This is quite easy when you say 'Fuck off!' to copyright law, and just Google movie stills you have no rights to and bung them on the front (and inside too, to make these "special illustrated" editions).

Behold the majesty! Also, some of the shameless blurbs these books use are listed beneath the relevant titles: stolen from other editions by better publishers, they are usually stolen ineptly, referring to translators, editors, cover designers and even whole books not actually involved in eMagination's versions.

"Excellent introduction; a nicely laid out, affordable edition." --Tim Peltason, Wellesley College

Catherine Ingrassia, Virginia Commonwealth University:

"This splendid edition is ideal for both the student and the scholar of Austen..."

[Coralie Bickford-Smith's] recent work for Penguin Classics is...nothing short of glorious (Anna Cole Co. ) --Anna Cole Co

"Alton and Broadview are to be commended for bringing them together in a single volume." -- Elizabeth Keyser, Hollins University

"Broadview’s Little Women provides a definitive text along with the most comprehensive historical overview offered...a wonderful achievement long overdue." --Daniel Shealy, University of North Carolina at Charlotte

This Will Probably Only Make Sense to Other Australians

Former Australian immigration Minister (now promoted to Treasurer) Chris Bowen has a new book out. I couldn't believe it when I saw the awful mistakes all over the front cover.

Fortunately, I was able to fix it and let the publishers (Melbourne University) know. The corrected edition is available now.

Tutis has a Challenger

In these sad days when Tutis no longer seems to be producing new, demented editions of the classics, I have found the days long and grey and empty. But now I have discovered the output of Emereo Publishing, and I am like a man reborn.

Sift the flour, baking powder and sugar into a bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg with the milk. Pour this into the flour mixture and whisk until combined, then add the vanilla seeds and whisk again. Gradually pour in the browned butter and whisk well, then fire into the fucking Sun.
